Requirement for MBBS abroad

The National Medical Commission sets the admission requirements for Indian students applying to study MBBS abroad. Any Indian student wishing to pursue MBBS overseas must meet the following eligibility criteria established by the NMC:

• Academic requirement: The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with an aggregate 50% in PCB subjects.

• Age requirement: The age of the candidate must be 17 years or more as on 31st December in the admission year.

• NEET requirement: The candidate must have qualified the NEET exam and has a valid NEET scorecard.

Entrance exam for MBBS abroad

Indian students aspiring to study MBBS abroad must first qualify for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) at the undergraduate level. In March 2019, the Medical Council of India (MCI) issued an order making NEET mandatory for Indian students. This is the essential and required criterion for applying to study MBBS abroad in countries such as Georgia.
